Last Saturday, we decided to make good use of the nice weather that finally came back, and loaded our bicycles as well as Mikolaj's trailer on the car in order to get to the other side of the city, near the shores of the Odra, for a ride I was dreaming of since some time.There is a whole district of Wrocław, Biskupin, that is located between two branches of the Odra river, the one that crosses the centre and the main one more north, for large boats. People call it the Biskupin Island. That's the finest place to ride along the river since all its perimeter is featured with large asphalted cycling tracks.
On sunny week ends one can meet crowds of Wroclawians riding there. In few places there are some children playgrounds so there is something for entertainment for the youngest like our son Mikolaj.
The main attraction, and the spot where the ride is worth being slightly extended is the Centennial Hall, behind which is located a large park with a large pond, in which was installed last year a new system of waterfalls ballets in music, a refreshing attraction that draws lots of people on warm days.
