Champion in sport...Champion in life!
London 2012 Paralympic Games 29 Aug-9 Sept

Alex Zanardi:
45 years of age, after a career as a player in Formula 1 (interrupted by a terrible accident that deprived him of his legs), he managed to win the gold medal in the handbike.
The 45 year old former Formula One driver is the new champion of the Paralympic H4 chronometer where he finishes in 24'50 "22, preceding German Norbert Mosandl (25'17" 40) and the Belgian Decleir (25'35 "26).
A triumph deserved because it came in a very clear way, since Alex has covered 16 km of the track at a supersonic speed (only driver to go under the wall of the 25 minutes).

RayMondoGreat. Bravo !

Voted 10/10

Yes, indeed. The handbike is a great resource. During the paralympics I wondered why the handbike shouldn't also be on the track in the athletics stadium. Currently, only wheelchair racing on the track.

I believe the handbike is a more efficient machine than the handwheelchair.

Thank you very much Ray.
In 2006 I have seen the Paralympic Winter Games in Turin.
I was astounded by the skill of the athletes.
This picture is dedicated to all of them, the real supermen and superwomen of this planet.
All the best.
