It represents an ideal route, not only for mountaineers but especially for bikers. The whole event takes place on the east side of the mountain, through a forest of larch trees that in autumn takes the color of gold.
The path is easy, and graudale, like all the roads of guns, but very long. The road winds up the mountain with long straights and wide turns, as they climb closer and closer together.
The whole route is marked by milestones that indicate the distance traveled, starting from Sauze di Cesana.

At the fourth mile, on the left, there is a branch to the fountain, "Carrera". The fountain was built on a pool of spring water that comes out of the mountain.
Shortly before the fountain, you will reach a beautiful square, surrounded by larch trees, which is a memorial dedicated to the military: "Luigi Martani" soldier, fell in his duty to Cima del Bosco, 23 August 1927.
The memorial is made of dry stone walls that surround a pedestal on which stands an obelisk unstable. The plaque with the inscription lying on the ground in several pieces, but is still legible.

From this point there are still more than five miles uphill all the way reclaim at least one hours biking.
