The Trail

The Basilica surrounded by green!

This route, entirely downhill, coincides in the initial section with one of the trails: "Natural Park of Superga", marked with a footprint of fox, blue on white rectangle.

From the Pitch to the north of the Basilica of Superga, the path wide enough, descends along the ridge of the hills, soon reaches a junction is not very evident when, on the left begins the ancient path of the "Term White" going down the hill on ridge, the trail leads to a clear overview, then with a marked deviation to the left, he returned to woodland setting and within minutes of descent reaches an intersection located on a new ridge.

This section of the trail is located on: "Brich Gardens", is here crossed by a wide dirt track on which, in addition to the blue route of the Natural Park of Superga, the trail leads the path n ° 63, which coincides in part with a portion of the "Great Crossing of the Hill."

Continuing along the ridge slightly downhill towards the north, we arrive at the summit: "Brich Gardens."
From Brich the path narrows and starts to descend gently along the ridge, then with a sudden very steep, but very scenic to San Mauro, reaches the "Path of the Dogs."
This horizontal path that bypasses the hill, is indicated by the number 61 and connects the agricultural areas of the Tole of Guala and Catalinette (walking left), , With the area of Feissola right.

Following the path of the dogs to the right, you will reach after a slight stretch slowly and then slightly downhill at a crossroads, and the narrow path that climbs to the right leads to the Tetti Coggiola, this route with a left turn follows: "Stone Trail "at first almost flat, then downhill on a particularly rocky bottom that justifies its name.

At the end of the path of the stones you reach the dirt road Feissola, with which, falling in the area having farmsteads and then again in the middle of the forest, you reach the clearing of: "three rivers".
From this point, the route takes place on asphalt along the Via del Rivo, then Via Matteotti to the foot of the ancient core town of San Mauro, near the church of San Rocco.

To return, take the road-San Mauro Turin (Corso Casale) and after having traveled about four miles of asphalt you go back to the car park of the rack tramway SASSI - SUPERGA.

When to Bike & Red Tape.

None: just remember that you are into the bowels of a natural park.
There are always so many school groups visiting: "Moderate your speed"
