This is our second last, and most serious (after Schöckel...) ride with Josef. Landscha is a small round hill near the town of Weiz, in the pre-Alps, where we stayed. It is featured with many excellent biking trails that form a network, though forests and clearings. The ride provides sceneric views all around, and a good overview of the region with beautiful typical houses of the area.
The Weizbergkirche is the church of the eponym town and its specific roof shape make it an unique monument in Austria.
I did not have any map (not more than we did at Schöckel !) but this time Josef did remember well the way by heart. I have kept no trace of it but I have found on internet a GPS track that I believe to be quite similar to what we did.
However considering the amount of well maintained trails in the area, the loop possibilities are unlimited. Most sections of the circuit, as well as most tracks I show, except a couple, are suiteable not only to mountain bikes but also trek bikes.
However by exploring it more deeply one can find wilder descents or narrower singletracks a bit everywhere.
Weiz is the next exit after Graz on the A2 motorway in the direction of Vienna :

When to Bike
All year round I think, as long as there is no snow.
