Most Scenic Trail I've Riden Date Biked: Aug 13, 2006
We parked by the old "Ponderosa" and went from north to south, what most people consider the wrong way. When you are on the part of the trail that is on a ledge you can see the bottom of the lake. One of two great rides in a Tahoe weekend of riding with Von, Jeff & Nan. We road Mr. Toad's via Armstrong Pass the day before.
Rode this with my son on our family holiday. A great climb up to the start of the Flume Trail. The views are something else. This ride was just magnificent. We met two people on the ride. They told us to watch for mountain lions as an MTBer had been attacked recently. That really phased us. Kept looking over our shoulders all the way back! Don't get them in the UK!!!!!
I generally ride this almost a dozen times a year, however, I usually ride it in an opposite direction by taking Tunnel Creek Road up from the Ponderosa site near Incline Village and ride South, then loop around Marlette Lake and up to the Tahoe Rim section, and finally down back to the car (approx. 20 miles). I love jumping those water bars on the way down Tunnel Creek!!!
"So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life."
