New Years Eve 2010 Ride

Well its that time of the year. The caged animal needs to get out. The end of another year. So off I go to Betws-Y-Coed Marin Trail in Wales for my annual outing. Boy was I out of shape. The 2000ft climb straight out of the car park was a killer and found me wanting or rather wishing I'd gone easy on the Christmas pud!

Conditions were ideal if a little overcast. Most of the snow was gone and I was riding in a thin base layer!

This trail is so good. Lots of flowing singletrack. So good I looped round again to hook up for the repeat of the final downhill.

Some of the video clips are a bit dark in the trees but here they are.

and a fine day for a ride I must add. I went on my second annual 15.5 mile run from the beach downtown on out the the glacier's visitor center as I am still training up for an Ironman triathlon on June 26th. Love the video footage, man!!! The Marin knife edge ridge line was really cool.

Cheers Juno. Iron man? Wow go for it. That would be an amazing achievement. You must be in pretty good shape at this stage in the winter if you are doing 15.5 mile runs. Keep it up bro.

Yeah pretty pleased with the GoPro. Still experimenting. May invest in a chest harness as it gives a different angle.
