North Wales - Outdoor Heaven!

Llyn Crafnant, Wales

Wales is located on the West of the UK. It is divides into North, South and Mid Wales. All of Wales is beautiful. If you don't believe me look at Nanuls' photos here on mbpost. Wales has a rare combination of beaches and mountains. The highest mountain in Wales is in North Wales and is called Snowdon which gives its name to the Snowdonia National Park. Established in 1951 Snowdonia National Park covers some 823 square miles of unspoilt countryside from just south of historic Conway on the North Wales coast towards Caernarfon in the west and southwards to picturesque Aberdovey and the popular Lake Bala in the east. There are numerous trails for biking and hiking here. The most famous and oldest purpose built MTB centre is, the now legendary, Coed y Brenin, which boasts a new visitors centre with showers.
All the outdoor activities are catered for in North Wales with many specialist outdoor centres like The National Mountain Centre at Plas y Brenin in the heart of Snowdonia.

Getting There

Coed y Brenin
Snowdon, Wales, UK

North Wales is well served by good motorway access and roads. It can be easily reached from the North on the M56 via Queensferry and then along the coast road the A55. From the South The M6 to junction 15 an then the A525 west to Wrexham.Access to North Wales is easy from there. There is so much scope from the well known areas of Snowdonia to the less well known around Wrexham.
