Thanks to the long wall built in the mid 800's by Vittorio Emanuele II, the La Mandria Park is now the largest enclosed park in Europe.
The fenced area is approximately 3,000 hectares. The wall, about 36 km long and it cost 1 million lire was to protect the Royal Apartments at Borgo Castello, desired by the king to live with his second family created with his wife Rosa Vercellana called "Bela Rosin".
It is in fact served to protect one of the rare survivors of the flaps forest that once covered the entire Po Valley.
The territory is divided into two main areas:
-the pre/park of 3,446 acres - with the aim of gradual reconciliation between the regime of use and protection of the equipped and the surrounding areas.
- The picnic area, the real heart of the park, 3,124 acres

After the bridge over Ceronda turn at the booth of the rangers on the dirt road on the right. Then turn left and then up following the path for pedestrians and bicycles to the village Castle, former residence of the Savoy which included a time over to the royal apartments, workshops necessary for the performance of 'agricultural, some warehouses, stables and even a church.
When you reach the road of One follow it leaving behind the village. Now turn right at the signpost "Plan of Roppolo" following the signs to the entrance to Three Gates.
Here come continue left on Route Oslera. Continuing right before you touch the Rondo 'of the One and then that of Duedove you take the road to the left of the Two.
After the farm Furnace you come to the avenue leading to the Castle Village with which we go down the avenue of Roveri.
It travels in the direction of the bridge just before the Red where the road makes a 90 ° bend. Once at the Rondo of the Woods, where you can 'possibly lengthen the ride reaching the Cascina Peppinella, go straight.
At the end of a steep downhill turn to the farm Rubbianetta, the characteristic shape of a horseshoe.
Cintalo is received by the wall along with a long straight until the Bizzarria. This wall was erected in 1865 by King Vittorio Emanuele II along the entire perimeter of the then royal hunting estate of the House of Savoy, in order to enclose the game.
It traces the outward part of the journey made to the entrance Druento where you turn left. When you reach the paved road Rubbianetta turn right.
After the Rivo Valsoglia, the road changes direction. Just beyond pay attention to turn right onto the track country lane alternative pedestrian path.
Arrived at the farm, Meadow, Pasture, go left and then head towards the entrance to the Green Bridge.
For the final part instead of 'use the paved road continue on the dirt road parallel to the right.
