Second ride with Nicolas on the Island of Rügen. A bit in the same region than the previous one, in the Mönchgut, but more south, to the cape of Thiessow.
The route follows the same start, then heads to Middelhagen, charming village, before entering a long stripe of dunes and forests, equipped with an excellent bike path.
It ends with a small nature reserve behind which lies a magical beach, on which we lingered a bit too much...
From Sellin, we head to Baabe and take the trail through the forest Baaber Heide.
On the south side, we take the junction, well hidden near the road junction, in the direction of Middelhagen.
In Middelhagen, pretty village in which we can admire the beautiful church, we head SE to reach Loobe. In Lobbe is located a very nice and wide beach.
From here starts a long cycle track going straight south over several kilometers along the shore, in the neighbouring forest. Regularly on the left we see junctions giving access to different parts of the beaches.
We finally reach Thiessow, and the natural reserve, that we can visit making a loop, first along the sea shore, and returning around the forest.
The return until Lobbe is made the same way.
We can maka a variation from Loobe to Baabe taking the road on the neighbourhood of Göhren, however less attractive option than Middelhagen.
Then we catch back the track of Baaber Heide without noticing it, and get home.
